트럼펫

발전소 9 기를 견학하고 악기를 만든다. 철학의 이상향 순수물 순수공기를 발전소에서 사용하고 있었다. 드럼에서는 순수물 얼음을 크리스탈 샹들리에에 걸었다. 토마스 모어의 유토피아 지도를 들고 항해하듯 돛을 오르내리며 드럼을 두드렸다.

이번, 두번째 악기는 순수공기로 트럼펫, 프렌치혼, 피리를부는것이다. 하멜린의 피리부는 사나이 가 되었고, 프로테스터가 되어 나팔을 분다.

코로나는 크라운의 라틴어다. 크라운은 긴 시간 힘의 역사이고, 각자의 생존, 현실이다.순수물 순수 공기로 만든 소리는 순수 할 것이다. 피리부는 이는 공장에서 오케스트라로 이끄는 안내자다. 순수 공기 한번 들이키고 각자의 현장으로 나서게 하는 아트의 기능성을 생각했다. 트럼펫은 환경에 관 한 노력이며 유난한 올해, 순수공기가 각각에게 호흡되길 바란다.

Trumpet

In preperation for constructing the instruments, I visited 9 different power plants. Pure forms of water and air – philosophical ideals – were used in the productions.

Hovering above the drum, ice made of pure water is hung on the crystal chandelier. As if to set sail with Thomas More’s map of Utopia in hand, I raise and lower the anchor to the beat of the drum.

Following the drum on the march are trumpet, French horn, and flute, blown with pure air. Channeling the Pied Piper of Hamelin, I blow the horn in protest.

Corona is the latin word for crown. It’s the endless scramble for power, the constant struggle for survival, and ultimately the reality we inhabit. Sounds made with pure water and air are bound to be just as pure. The crowned piper leads the march from the mired plants to the elegant orchestra.

I was contemplating on the inherent possibility of art, which allows us to take a breath of pure air before marching back into reality. ‘Trumpet’ is intended as an effort to focus on environmental issues, and as this year’s much needed opportunity to take a breather .
